CHILDREN-TO-CHILDREN ADVENT APPEAL
The 4th Annual Bishop's Children-to-Children Advent Appeal will support mothers and children working with Mother Orma and the Purple Industries sewing ministries in Swaziland. The Bishop began these appeals to encourage the children of our diocese to support the children of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa. They can be purchased into the New Year, but Christmas orders are due by Dec. 14: Fax orders to 202/364-6605 for delivery to parishes before Dec. 20. If you wish to make a donation of $25 but choose not to receive a bear, the bear will be given to a child in the Diocese of Washington who is affected by HIV/AIDS. Parishes are encouraged to collect donations in any amount. The Southern Africa Partnership Committee has prepared a storybook and activities to help Sunday School directors share the lives of the children in Swaziland with the children in your parishes. This will be mailed in mid-October. Please contact Cheryl Daves Wilburn at cwilburn at edow.org with any questions.
