EUCHARIST TO COMMEMORATE THURGOOD MARSHALL A special evening Eucharist to commemorate Thurgood Marshall is set for 5:30 p.m. May 18 at St. Alban's, D.C. In 2006 the diocese passed a resolution asking the General Convention of the Episcopal Church to recognize Marshall in the in the book of Lesser Feasts and Fasts. This also calls for parishes throughout the diocese to remember Marshall on a date near May 17 - the anniversary of the famous Supreme Court case he argued for school desegregation. AN APPEAL FROM THE HAITI MICAH PROJECT St. Timothy's, D.C. is joining the Haiti Micah Project to help the children of Haiti. The church is currently collecting clothes, shoes, school supplies, vitamins and toiletries. The goal is to ship about 15 boxes to Haiti by May 15.
