*** The weekly bulletin for clergy, wardens, diocesan committee members,
convention delegates and church administrators in the Episcopal Diocese
of Washington ***

CHANGES AT CHURCH HOUSE
Amy Elliott, who served four years at the diocese's webmaster, has
resigned to devote her full attention to completing law school. Her
part-time replacement is Margaret Dimond who can be reached at
mdimond at edow.org and 202/537-3975. Because Margaret is in the office
only two days a week, the diocese will no longer be able to offer the
internet's version of emergency roadside assistance to parish
webmasters. You can still make an appointment to bring the car into the
shop, though.

ATTENTION PARISH ADMINISTRATORS
All parish administrators and administrative assistants in the Diocese
of Washington are invited to monthly luncheon meetings of the
Administrators Group. Topics of interest are discussed and useful
information is shared. New administrators will find these particularly
valuable. Meetings are the third Tuesday of the month at All Souls, on
Cathedral Avenue. It is metro-accessible and parking is available. You
also are invited to join our listserv which provides a means to exchange
information between meetings. Next meeting is set for 12:30 to 2 p.m.
Sept. 18. Contact the group at:
http://www.edow.org/parish/administration/resources/index.html

OFFICE SPACE SOUGHT
On Earth Peace, an organization that works to equip individuals and
congregations to live in loving relationship, engage in conflict well,
address the roots of violence and injustice, and nurture peacemakers in
each generation, is seeking office space for one staff member in the
District (desk space and internet connection) for one year. In return
for a place to work, Susanna Farahat, who coordinates peace education
programming - planning and leading workshops and retreats on topics like
the spirituality of peacemaking, diversity and conflict resolution -
would be able to offer some of these opportunities to your group. For
more information, visit www.brethren.org/oepa or contact Farahat at
sfarahat_oepa at brethren.org or 410/635-8706.

CATHEDRAL'S PARKING GARAGE OPEN
Washington National Cathedral's underground parking garage is now open.

and committee members. Surface parking restrictions after 3:30 p.m. are
lifted, so parking for evening meetings can be done at street level and
validation will not be needed. Please park legally at all times;

close may be directed to ParkingInfo at cathedral.org
