[edow] Jefferts Schori elected presiding bishop

On Sunday, June 18, Katharine Jefferts Schori of Nevada was elected as
the new presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church. She will be installed
Nov. 4 at Washington National Cathedral. This makes Schori the first
female presiding bishop and primate, after having been only the first
woman to even be nominated for the position. Full story to come. Check
